Set of Four Cubist Nude Portraits by Kosta Stojanovitch (1950s)

0047, 0048, 0049, 0050

Set of four cubist nude portraits in pastel and gouache on fine art paper (1950s) by artist, Kosta Stojanovitch. This series is comprised of four images: two seated female nudes, a reclining female nude and a seated male. All are cubist depictions with lines and angles defined by vibrant colours which breathe life into each work. Viewed individually, the works seem in some ways naïve. Viewed as a whole though, they acquire the synergy of a well-curated art exhibit. They surely must have seemed very avant-garde in their day. The artworks have been reframed and glazed and are in very good vintage condition commensurate with age. Three of the four are signed or initialed. A video clip of these works may be provided upon request.
