About the Artist: Georges Pelletier (1938-2024) was born in Brussels, Belgium. He started his training at the Academy Charpentier in Paris (School of Arts and Crafts) in the building which is now the Picasso Museum. After that period, Pelletier worked at the Atelier Claude Pantzer, the renowned Accolay pottery. In 1961 the artist opened his own studio in Paris where he created his first unique pieces. His work was noted by the Bobois furniture house for his evident creativity and talent and was subsequently asked to supply Roche Bobois with their lighting collections between 1961 and 1973. In 1973 Pelletier followed the sun to the South of France in the city of Cannes where he set up a new workshop. He died in February, 2024.

"Pelletier dedicated himself to his work in the privacy of his workshop, driven by an unwavering passion until the final days of his life, alongside his son Benjamin, to whom he passed down his rich artistic legacy.

Benjamin continues to create, following in his father’s footsteps. He produces identical pieces and publishes the many unique works created by his father that have never been displayed to the public.

Georges’ dream was to see his art live on through his son. The works that were once made by four hands will now be made by two, and will continue to enhance interiors around the world." (Ref: Antoine Jourdan)
