'A Wink at the Rink', ink and gouache on art paper by Jean Monneret (circa 1970s), a very endearing depiction of ice skating on a very cold wintery day. The artist produced outlines of the figures in motion using ink and filled them with vivid colours in gouache. A very lively scene with confident strokes renders the skaters' whirling tracks on ice along with their watery reflections. Completely charming and very collectible. Signed by the artist in the lower lefthand corner. In good vintage condition commensurate with age. The work is in its original characterful frame with new matting and glass. The frame has scratches, nicks and and an aged patina. Upon request a video of the piece will be provided.
