Vintage French ceramic decorative mug by Le Mûrier (circa 1960s).  A delightful drinking mug (or small flower vase perhaps?) with handle in the unmistakable Le Mûrier Provençal style with their trademark stylised French coq and stylised mulberry flower. The underlying glaze is a delicate off-white, the decor in a rich mulberry red with lightly hued green leaves. In fair overall condition with two minute chips near the base. Please enjoy the many photos accompanying this listing. Le Mûrier's maker's mark appears on the underside Upon request a video may be provided.

About Le Mûrier: Gustave Reynaud (1915-1972) founded the pottery, Le Mûrier (Mulberry Tree), in Vallauris, France in 1955. He produced earthenware designed in conjunction with his well known brother-in-law, Jean Derval, as well as vases, wall plaques and anthropomorphic jugs. He also worked with the potter JF Descombes and decorator Michel Barbier in their well known village. After Reynaud's death in 1972 his wife ran the pottery until 1984.
