'The Horses and Bulls of the Camargue', original lithograph by Robert Debiève (circa 1960s). A mid-century modern depiction of the Carmargue region which is a vast, swampy delta near Arles, France, very exotic, with tall marsh grasses where pink flamingos, black bulls and white horses roam freely. So many French artists were fascinated by this unusually wild bit of French territory, so much so that their passion translated into inspired works of art. Robert Debiéve was no different and created several works in the area. This is an original unnumbered lithograph signed by the artist in the lower lefthand corner. In good vintage condition, newly framed and glazed. Upon request a video of the work will be provided.

About the Artist: Robert Debiève (1926 - 1994) renowned French artist best known for his creative tapestries and painted works of art. Cousin of Raymond and Michele Debiève, impressive creators of art in their own right. Robert's works are collected internationally and become available at auction in the major houses.
