'Portrait of Suited Boy' by Max Moreau (1943)

£1,250.00

SKU 0182

'Portrait of Suited Boy', gouache on fine art paper, by Max Moreau (1943). A fine portrait of a well-to-do boy from the period during WWII. Moreau deftly captured the boy's delicate features and his confident regard - that certain immodest look that comes from being part of the upper social tier of society. The artist demonstrates incredible skill in detailing this portrait with gouache and watercolour and it is this skill which has made his portraits so desirable for international collectors. In good vintage condition commensurate with age. The work is framed. There is some blemishing on the paper surrounding the painted portrait however, it does not affect the overall impression of the artwork. Upon request a video of the piece will be provided. Signed: 'Max Moreau 1943'.
