'Floral Bouquet in Pitcher', oil on board, by Joseph Paul Louis Bergès (circa 1930s). A shapely ceramic pitcher holds a wild assortment of field flowers. The abundance of springtime colour has been beautifully captured in an impressionist moment, a beautiful excerpt of time. The impressionist whole gives way to fine detail in the individual branches, leaves and flower blossoms. The quality of the work clearly demonstrates the deft creation by a master hand. The piece is in good vintage condition commensurate with age. Signed in the lower righthand corner: 'L Bergès'. Newly framed with linen slip. Upon request a video of the artwork will be provided.
